NOCOPI TECHNOLOGIES, INC. ANNOUNCES MAJOR LICENSING AGREEMENTS WITH INTERNATIONAL AND NATIONAL CHILDREN'S CONSUMER PRODUCTS COMPANIES; NEW INITIATIVES FOR GAINING INCREASED REVENUES IN THE RETAIL LOSS PREVENTION MARKET

TUESDAY APRIL 19, 2011

WEST CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., April 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Michael A. Feinstein, M.D., Chairman and CEO of Nocopi Technologies, Inc. (OTCQB: NNUP), today announced the commercialization of new business relationships in the entertainment and toy product markets. Among others, Nocopi established a license in the second quarter of 2010 with a major children's consumer products company that develops art products and children's games. This company has grown to become a leading creative kids craft resource in the US marketplace today.

In addition, Nocopi initiated a relationship with an international purveyor of colored pencils and art supplies in the third quarter of 2010. The agreement involves sales of children's games and puzzle books developed utilizing Nocopi's ink and printing technologies. Both of these relationships are anticipated to generate increasing revenues in 2011.

In late March 2011, Nocopi completed a multi-year license agreement with Ideopolis LLC, a designer of creative educational products for children marketed under the brand name Alphabotz®. The company was granted exclusive rights to market certain products incorporating Nocopi's Rub-it & Color ink technology in a specific vertical market in the United States.

Randy Barton a Principal at IDEOPOLIS commented: "We are very pleased to announce that we have produced a new product for the medical industry called Alphabotz® Scratch-N-Color Wait-Time Playbooks. These fun, safe, sanitary, and mess-free activity booklets can be distributed by medical facilities to help entertain kids while they wait in the emergency room, or any medical waiting room (www.alphabotz.com/playbooks)."

"To maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace, at a later date Nocopi will be announcing more details about these important agreements and the companies that we are now working with" said Dr. Feinstein.

All three licensing agreements are the result of Nocopi's ongoing efforts in product research and development. Innovative new products developed through the utilization of Nocopi's ink and printing technologies should be on shelves in 2011.

"These are very exciting times for Nocopi," said Dr. Feinstein. "We have been successful this year in acquiring new accounts and have renewed agreements with existing accounts in the United States. We continue to work on development of new innovative products for children of all ages utilizing Nocopi's ink and printing technologies.

Nocopi Technologies, Inc. is also in the business of developing solutions against counterfeiting, product diversion, document security, and authentication via patented technologies (including invisible inks, color changing inks, reactive thread and document security paper products).

Dr. Feinstein further stated, "We are also developing special ink and printing technology initiatives for new security products for use in the retail loss prevention market. We are pleased that the sales of our inks and technologies for retail loss prevention increased in 2010 as compared to 2009. In fact, as of July 1, 2010, our sales of security inks surpassed the sales in all of 2009. We have new licensing agreements with two new accounts which in addition to existing accounts in the US and Canada has resulted in an increase in security ink orders. We have created new inks to supply additional security for retail loss prevention. We are pleased that our security business revenues have increased. We expect even more growth in 2011."

NOCOPI TECHNOLOGIES, INC. MEETS WITH THE UNITED STATES PHARMACOPEIA (USP) GLOBAL OFFICIALS ON PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCT COUNTERFEITING AND DIVERSION; INTRODUCES NEW TAMPER RESISTANT PRESCRIPTION PADS. THURSDAY JANUARY 10, 2008 1:04 PM ET

WEST CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., Jan. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Michael A. Feinstein, M.D., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Nocopi Technologies, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: NNUP -News) and members of his staff met recently with the USP's Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer Roger L. Williams, M.D., and its leadership staff representing four Continents at the Organization's Headquarters in Rockville, MD. The discussion covered worldwide efforts currently underway to combat pharmaceutical product counterfeiting and diversion, an introduction to Nocopi's Secure Rub tamper-proof prescription pads and information about Nocopi's overt and covert technologies and products.

Nocopi Technologies is a well-known company in the business of developing solutions against counterfeiting, product diversion, document security, and authentication via patented technologies (including invisible inks, color changing inks, reactive thread and document security paper products).

The USP, an independent, science-based public health organization, promotes public health by developing and disseminating quality standards and information for medicines, and disseminates this information to practitioners, pharmacists, and others who make decisions about healthcare around the world. The USP's Drug Quality and Information (USP DQI) program has established a presence in USAID-priority countries on four continents, advancing strategies to improve drug quality and the appropriate use of drugs. Recent reports indicate the availability of substandard and counterfeit drugs has reached a disturbing proportion in many low-income countries.

Both parties discussed the new federal requirements which will start to go into effect on April 1, 2008, as the result of recently enacted legislation, requiring that states not pay pharmacies for Medicaid prescriptions that do not have at least one of three characteristics designed to prevent fraud and abuse through the reproduction and/or modification of prescriptions. Those characteristics are:

-- one or more industry-recognized features designed to prevent
unauthorized copying of a completed or blank prescription form;
-- one or more industry-recognized features designed to prevent the
erasure or modification of information written on the prescription by
the provider; and
-- one or more industry-recognized features designed to prevent the use
of counterfeit prescription forms.

Nocopi's new Tamper Resistant Prescription Pads meet all three of these requirements.

By October 1, 2008, all three anti-counterfeiting characteristics must be embedded in all Medicaid prescription orders. The Nocopi representatives demonstrated its secure prescription paper, which is marketed under the brand name Secure Rub. This economical and secure paper can be run through any offset press to print the specific information required for any doctor's office.

Nocopi participants demonstrated examples of overt and covert technologies and products designed to combat counterfeiting and diversion. Examples were provided to show how to determine where a diversion problem is occurring, and how to positively identify the real product from the knock-offs.

Dr. Feinstein said, "We believe that both overt and covert security can be blended in such a manner as to help the drug manufacturer, distributor, and pharmacist track and trace exactly where pharmaceutical products are going. Our technologies at Nocopi allow for the interruption of diversion channels, help to authenticate the product as not being counterfeit, and all at a very small cost per unit." Dr. Feinstein further added, "Nocopi is encouraged by the USP's concern about the counterfeit and diverted pharmaceutical problem. For many years a myriad of other products have been protected against such problems, and now our own health and well-being must also be."

As a follow-up to this meeting, both parties agreed to continue to exchange information about pharmaceutical counterfeiting and diversion issues. Nocopi has been requested by the USP to supply samples of its technologies and products for their consideration in current and future USP DQI program efforts.

2-2-4 - Stockholders letter, Nocopi Technologies, Inc.
February 2, 2004

Dear Stockholder of Nocopi Technologies, Inc.:

I am pleased to take this opportunity to update you about some of the important activities Nocopi Technologies, Inc. (Nocopi) has been involved in this year. It is my hope that these developments will be of interest to you as Nocopi moves forward.

Settlement of Lawsuit
On June 4, 2003, we announced the settlement of the arbitration proceeding commenced with our former European Distributor Euro-Nocopi, S.A. (Euro). Under the terms of the settlement, Euro has paid $900,000 to Nocopi and will pay an additional $200,000 in the future for back royalties and all other matters in dispute between the two companies, as well as the termination of Nocopi’s 18% ownership of Euro. Euro’s exclusive European license will continue in effect.

New Facility
In September 2003, we moved our company to a new facility located at 9C Portland Road, West Conshohocken, PA 19428. We were fortunate to find a location that was better suited to our production requirements but also reduced our monthly expenses.

New Staff
In an effort to increase our talent level, Nocopi has replaced employees with two new additions to our staff, JoAnn Domanski, Director of Research & Development, and Kevin Stevenson, Plant Manager. JoAnn and Kevin have both rejoined Nocopi. Both JoAnn and Kevin bring a wealth of experience and knowledge back to Nocopi.

Current Business Activities
Nocopi is primarily engaged in the development and distribution of document security products and the licensing of its authentication technologies in the United States and foreign countries. The Company’s document authentication technologies are useful to businesses desiring to authenticate a wide variety of printed materials and products. These include the Nocopi Copimark technology, providing the ability to print invisibly on certain areas of a product. The invisible printing can be activated or revealed by use of a special highlighter pen, when authentication is required. A related technology is Nocopi’s Rub & Reveal system, which permits the invisible printing of an authenticating symbol or code that can be revealed by rubbing a fingernail over the printed area. Nocopi’s clients include many Fortune 500 companies. Products incorporating Nocopi technology range from security documents, such as tickets, checks and coupons to fragrances, cosmetics, fashion apparel, pharmaceuticals, tobacco products, automotive parts and many more. Even with all the changes in 2003, we have been successful in acquiring some new accounts and have renewed agreements with existing accounts in the United States.

New Business Opportunity
We will be applying some of our technologies for new products and services in the non-security market. I want to emphasize these new products or services in no way compromise the confidentiality of the security and authentication activities we perform for our existing accounts worldwide. We will be launching this new product line at the American International TOY FAIR in February 2004 to be held in New York City. We will tell you more about this new and exciting activity in our next newsletter.
